Rich Smith serves as Chief Human Resources Officer for the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration from the University of Oklahoma and a Juris Doctor from Quinnipiac University. He is a member of the Gamma Phi Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Rich supports efforts to advance educational achievement, mental health initiatives, and social justice through his membership on a number of nonprofit boards. He lives in Northern California with his wife and two adult sons.
